Car thief

Nowadays, a criminal who is properly equipped – and thieves are investing in equipment and software – is able to neutralize immobilizer, eliminate auto alarm communicating with the CAN bus of a car and turn the ignition on. I repeatedly faced with a situation, in which after finding stolen vehicle the owner was not able to start it because the immobilizer had already been transcoded and did not recognize the signals transmitted from the original keys – says dziennik.pl Mirosław Marianowski from Gannet Guard Systems dealing with tracking and retrieving stolen vehicles.

Locks are traversed using special instruments to open the lock without damaging it and breaking tools, computers allow you to take the management over starting the vehicle even without the use of a key, so basically only time available depends on whether a thief manages steal the car – adds Marianowski.

The expert emphasizes that currently every car can be stolen.
